Hi everyone. Remodeling bathroom and planning on painting a few fixtures to match. Also wanted to fix leaky hot water cartridge. In the past the cartridge has been fairly easy to remove -- not so much this time. Not sure of brand of faucet but drain says Kohler. Guessing ~ 25 yrs old.

Trying to figure out the following:
- Is the cartridge removable or is this one piece?
- If removable, how? I've just about stripped the nut on the cartridge using and can't even get it to budge.
- What brand is this faucet? Where can I find replacement parts?

TIA

To bad I don't get paid for the time I spend here solving problems.
That's okay. It's the hunt I enjoy
Took me a few minutes but here you go.

It is a Kohler. Looks like they are still available.
Give them a call and maybe they can send you a replacement.

That stem/cartridge will come out but I have never seen one like that with the push ring on stem holding the red stem indicator.

look for

The are listed for $652

Wow, didn't realize it was that expensive. On plus side, just off phone with Kohler and they are sending replacement valve & cartridges for both hot & cold free of charge under lifetime warranty.

Appreciate you digging that up for me.
