Help with bathtub stopper

I have had to replace all the bathtub stoppers in my new house. The first 2 were lift and turn stoppers and I replaced with ease.
The 3rd I had assumed was the same, but I can't figure out what type it is and how to remove! There was no bathtub stopper in the plug.. Just a metal rod sticking out which I'm not sure I remove or if it's a different type of stopper I need.
Any help? Thanks in advance.

It was a lift/turn. You can unthread the shaft out and replace with new.

The post is just screwed into the cross. Try a little PB Blaster or some sort of penetrating oil.

Okay thank you! I figured it was, but couldn't for the life of me remove it. Will try to loosen it up.
