Hi! I have a floor drain that is draining very slowly. Yesterday I noticed it was backed up from the condensation run off from my AC unit. I took off the drain cover and noticed that there was a small ball flowing in the water.
First thought was that one of the previous owner's children had dropped it in there. Then after some internet browsing, noticed something called a ball check. Most if not all of the time/the ball is nested in a cage, in my case there is not a cage.
So, if the water is draining well again (right now I am not sure if it is or isn't) after cleaning the drain, so far a just vacuumed some gunk out of it, should I throw the little ball (which is blue after cleaning it) back into the drain?
