I have an outdoor-facing shower that requires winterization. The shower valve is a 4-port with an unused bath port, which I have capped in the past.
My winterization process is shutting off the water and draining the water through the bath port. This requires uncapping.
I've found the re-capping process to be difficult. I had to replace the cap, as the original cap began leaking through the seam.
My main question is:
Where can I find a self-sealing cap for this application? Is this setup even recommended in the first place? It was installed by a long-time plumber who I understand to be very good at what he does.
