Our shower has started leaking so I am attempting to repair it. I have been able to remove the knobs, escutcheon, and holding pins, but I can't figure out how to remove the plastic stem. I've tried really hard to rotate the outer metal sleeve that the plastic stem sits inside, but I'm afraid I will break it if i put any more force. Any help would be appreciated!
