Can you identify this faucet bit?

Hello

We have a leaky faucet which I thought would be easy to fix. Unfortunately our plumber can not recognize the culprit and so can not replace it. If any of you recognize this it would be a great help to us to stop this leaky tap once and for all.

that's a (washerless)faucet stem.... bring that to a PLUMBING SUPPLY HOUSE can you show the faucet in a pic?????

Trouble with that one is there are Sooo many similar stem assemblies that look like that with each one having a slight variation that it's hard to identify.

Thanks Mr David it does look like a pretty close match. I'll try to chase it up. Many of them look similar to my eye so thank you very much for looking at it.
