UPDATED PICS (as suggested by a forum member) Hi all, my apologies if this is a silly question but I have zero plumbing experience. I've included two pics of my bathroom sink drain cap. The finish is wearing off, otherwise the entire assembly is perfect. IKEA no longer sells this type of faucet, and I can't seem to find a replacement part. The type I have has a single screw in the drain that I screw the cap onto. Do I have to replace the entire drain assembly just for this cheap part? Thank you!

You could try to find it on eBay. If not then it may be time for replacement.

I wouldn’t do it but you could send it off to be plated.

I have never seen that kind of stopper in a bath sink.

But it looks similar to what is often used in bathtubs.
Maybe it is smaller, hard to judge the size from your pics.

So maybe a part meant for a bathtub drain would work on your sink.

Measure the exact diameter of the stopper.
And post that info here.

And post another pic of it, viewed from the side, edge on.

Hopefully these pics are better. The stopper is 4 cm wide, 6.5 cm for the drain width.

Post your measurements in inches, this is north America.
I think everything you find online will be measured in inches.

I think 4 cm is 1.575 inches, btw.

It is used with vessel sinks primarily

Off topic rant.

Vessel sinks, what a total joke, in my opinion.
Inconvenient, easy to crack, hogging the whole counter top, designed to splash water everywhere.

Seems like that screwy fad is finally almost dead.

I install them in half baths for guests that come and visit to use. I don’t care for them but they good for business
