We had our kitchen remodeled and the plumber moved the sink and dishwasher to an island. No issues with any of that. We have a water softener and well water. My wife either had to go to the basement or the pump handle outside to get water for her numerous plants. I had the plumber run a no soft water line to a drinking faucet on the island. Whenever you go to use it - it spits air out (and makes a big mess). The plumber tapped the 1/4" plastic line into the incoming cold water line just above the water heater. I think somehow air is being drawn into the faucet when the dishwasher runs.

Is this the case? Or something else? Nothing leaks. How do I fix this?

Thanks
