ABS cement - pipe not 100% fit in

I just tried to use ABS cement to connect two ABS pipe fittings but for some reasons I wasn't able to push it all the way in. I would say it's about 80% there. Is that ok? Is it going to leak? I'm worried....

By the way it's a drain pipe under kitchen sink

You have to push it in all the way and hold the pieces together for at least a minute until the solvent cement starts to set up. You may get lucky and not have a leak now but you never know if the joint(s) will separate later.

would you run your tires only half full of air ?

If it does separate by itself then I can at least do something about it. Now it is 80% in and stuck there. Perhaps I will just wait and see...

Did you chamfer pipe so fitting is glued properly. If not all the glue got pushed to the back of fitting
