I am new to this forum, please bare with me:) I am installing a new bath on my 2nd floor, this includes a double vanity, shower-tub, and toilet. I don't have an existing main stack so i am installing one. The first floor has enough room for a 3" stack, but the second floor only has a 2x4 wall and the vent cannot continue upwards. The question is can the vent change to a 2" vent when it immediately rises through the 2nd floor? I am planning on using this as a wet vent for everything in the bathroom. Nothing is going to enter the vent on the first floor. The toilet will be downstream from the rest and everything is within 6' of this vent. Any ideas or further questions i could answer?
