Hi all. I'm just a DIYer but I thought this might be relevant to others. I had a space that was just a bit too snug for a standard 12" rough in toilet. It was maybe a half inch short. A 10" rough in toilet was going to be way too short. I'll spare you the details, but I did learn from personal experience that some Kohler 12" models finish up well short of the back wall. Today I installed Kohler model # K-30369-0. It fit with room to spare. Perhaps some more experienced people will chime in, but I can tell you that this particular model will gain you about 3/4".

That particular toilet spec sheet shows it will sit in a 11 1/8 “ space.

They allow 7/8 between the tank and wall wall f you have a full 12” rough

sometimes you can move the toilet flange forward by chiseling out in front. also some toilets only need 11 1/2 inches check .
