    Soldering In ball valve

    I have a 1/2” copper shutoff ball valve soldered on to the supply. The other end is not connected to anything. Can I solder a pipe to that valve without draining the supply? I will shut off the water and release the pressure against the valve, but I don’t want to drain it unless I have to...
