My heat gun just arrived a few days ago. Thanks for the tip!

    Using Oatey Cement

I found out that pex or abs or whatever it's called - sure isn't real easy to work with if you get a leak.

Do they still use poly lines today?

    Using Oatey Cement

Some dude at the hardware store said the pipe I was dealing with in my basement was called ABS. There was a small leak coming out of well tank. I had never heard of ABS before but it is a black plastic like material. Thanks for the tip on the two clamps. Will be using that one.

Thank you. I wasn't sure but glad I asked. The only thing holding the ABS pipe to the barbed fitting is a hose clamp. It just doesn't look strong enough to hold it

    Using Oatey Cement

Is it ok to use Oatey cement on the barbed side of a pvc pipe fitting? The pipe is ABS and the fitting is pvc. The cement says its for PVC, CPVC, and ABS. But I wasn't sure if I should put it on the barbed end. The attached pic is similar to what I have but isn't the exact item. Thanks for...

Thanks. Makes sense - about the clamps. I may have to watch some videos on warming well pipes. Can understand how a heat gun would work on pvc but not on metal. I mean it seems like you would need extreme heat for that. I may have misunderstood what you meant.

Thank you I will do that with the clamps. By heat gun do you mean a torch?

The problem was definitely the tank. The new tank is in and the water pressure is now fantastic. It took much longer than I expected and we had to make many trips to the local hardware stores. Still have three real slow drips - one coming from the left side of the PK1A and another very slow...

Well tank install - cheaper tanks...

For a couple weeks now, when the water pressure gets really slow, I've been draining all the water out (and lately there's been a lot of air too), then adding air back into it until it reached 28. Someone told me this would work until we got a new well tank but for the past few weeks it...

Well tank install - cheaper tanks...

The tank kit I ordered was originally scheduled to arrive yesterday but Fed Ex rescheduled it to next Monday. The water pressure in my existing setup is very weak. My family and I have done all we can to limit the use of water until the new tank arrives. I'm a little worried that this low...

Understood. Since the 4.5 is already on the way, will it be able to handle the increased pressure? If not, I can just eliminate 2 of the filters until I get a larger tank.

Definitely understand about being busy with the granddaughter. Have a couple myself. They are hard to keep up with. Maybe we'll keep it down to one filter then. But if we do use three, would I need a larger tank or would be turning up the pressure to 50/70 be enough? The grey water/sand...

That's incredible. Our grey water pump is on a sand mound and when the power goes out, which happens a lot because of where we live - a lot of the lines are old and are not being upgraded. Can you recommend a better system for this as well? Our house has 3 bathrooms but 2 are full bath and...

I was just looking at your website, at least I think that's your website. I see you sell a PK1A Pressure Tank Kit. Is that tank big enough for a normal sized house?
