    Help! Water pressure fluctuating

Unless you are the owner or authorized repair person, this should be the landlord/owner's problem. You touch and you break, you get sued.

    Installing an outdoor shower

Since is is considered a wash off shower for the pool, the water runs down across the concrete slab 5', where it drops into a French drain.

Flange leak from Grundfos record pump

My honest opinion would be to cut that old pump out and solder some threaded pipe to accept a new Grundfos pump.

    Installing an outdoor shower

So far I have spent $400. The most costly think will be the "Trex" type of 1"x 6" boards I will use as my privacy boards. They are $17 a piece and I need 22 of them. Maybe I will ship you a Disneyland coffee mug just for considering coming out to California to help me.

How much PVC pipe should be seated into a fitting for a safe / secure joint

IMHO, if it is just a gravity drainage line, I wouldn't sweat it. Water will always find the path of least resistance. I just laid 120' of 3" solid PVC pipe, and I know some joints weren't cinched up all the way.

    What did you do today?

I can see that happening. Those spring loaded connections get hard from gunk, and hard to tell if the tips are clipped in properly.

    What did you do today?

I ruined my pressure washer hose just last week because I failed to release the pressure before unscrewing it. I knew I forgot to do something!
