Update. I contacted Symmons. I told them I never sent in the warranty card. They didn’t mind. They overnighted me the new part I needed for free. I followed the photo instructions they provided me. I finished the job in 15 minutes. Now it works perfectly. Thanks Geofd and thanks Symmons.

I just found the warranty card. I never sent it in. I had a local kitchen and bath company gut my bathroom and install everything new from top to bottom. I’ll call them. Hopefully they have the receipt for that specific part.

I’ll call a plumber because I don’t have the right tools. I thank you for your help. You went above and beyond. I appreciate it. I’ll call the people who installed my bathroom. I assume they will know how to cover the parts warranty. I assume labor is not covered.

OK. I just removed the handle and this is what I am seeing.

That seems out of my league. I’ll call a plumber. I don’t want to take any chances. It’s under warranty. I’m sure labor isn’t covered but that’s OK.

OK. It’s so seemless it’s deceptive. So once I pop that off exactly how should I precede? Also......do I need to turn the main water off in the house while doing this? Again.....thanks very much.

I’m not seeing an Allen wrench screw anywhere on the handle. If I could figure a way to get the handle off then I could look at what you described.

Thank you for the quick response Geofd. Here is a photo of the unit. What do you recommend I do to potentially fix this myself. I have no idea how to even remove the handle.

Folks. I have a 3 year old Symmons S-4700-TRM in my shower. Entire bathroom was gutted and installed at that time. The handle on my Symmons that turns the shower water on and adjusts the water temp used to be “shut off” when it was in the 3 o’clock position. The other day I felt a funny feeling...
