Adding laundry sink to washer drain

I see, thanks for the explanation. Looking back at my pictures of what I'm working on, I don't know that I have the space to achieve what you've sketched. I'll have to ponder on this for a bit and figure out what to do...

Adding laundry sink to washer drain

Thank you for the reply. So I understand your drawing, what I'm confused about is that I thought it wasn't proper to connect this way. Something to do with not having a common venting when drain arms tie together at different elevations? Like if the sink arm is draining it will block the vent...

Adding laundry sink to washer drain

So we had a hurricane come through then we went on vacation for a week, so I'm delayed responding back. I appreciate all the input. I probably failed to mention, but this job is going to take place in Florida, not in MS where I live. I'll be helping my dad install this in his house over...

Yessir, Gulfport. Was nice and cool out this morning!!! I understand your concern about the cross flow from the washer pump, but am not following your drawing. I'm going to get some sleep and will look at it again tomorrow lol!

Adding laundry sink to washer drain

Hi, I'm adding a laundry sink to a washer drain, and want to make sure I do it properly and vent it properly. The new sink will have a P-trap under it and come in from the left in the picture. Is it acceptable to tie in a new TEE above the existing TEE where the washer drain ties in? I...

Is it ok to offset the vertical pipe above a P trap (tub install)?

Thanks! I think it turned out great. I didn't post about it but I made a tile flange that I siliconed to the tub. I used plastic trim from those plastic wall panels like you see at gas station restrooms. It worked well. I just thought the "kits" that you can buy for add on tile flanges...

    Tub P trap question

I don't understand what you're asking... I had a p trap under the slab that I cut off and installed a new p trap but to a slightly different location. I'm going from a 32 in to a 42 in tub so the drain needed moved.

    Tub P trap question

Hi, I'm renovating my master bath from a 32" wide tub to a 42" wide tub. I need to move the drain and so today I chipped out the concrete, dug out the tar and dirt, and am ready to do the PVC in the morning. Is it OK to route the P trap the way I have it illistrated in the attached pictures...

Is it ok to offset the vertical pipe above a P trap (tub install)?

Well, we've decided on a tub from the cultured marble manufacturer that will also be doing the walls. It is 17" soaking depth plus I can get one of the deep soak overflow drain kits for an additional 2". It is a 60" x 42" tub, which means I will need to move the drain "sideways" about 5"...
