Any cheaper or DIY fix of sewage line little roots that just got drilled thru, short of a Hydro-Jet?

If you have a 2 story then the roof vent idea is out. I thought you just had a single story home that was slab on grade. And you cannot cable from upstairs toilet flanges either. Only downstairs toilet. I'll go ahead and say it. If your plumber didn't even go into your house. The plumber...

Wondering if anyone knows about everhot pex fitting and PEX pipe? Pex universe has some decent prices on the fittings and pipe. I just wanted to know if they were any good before purchasing that brand?

Any cheaper or DIY fix of sewage line little roots that just got drilled thru, short of a Hydro-Jet?

A main stack is typically a 4" pipe that comes up from the concrete and goes out of the top of your roof. It provides a vent for your plumbing, and your plumbing fixtures in your house typically drain into it. After going down into the concrete it takes a 90 degree turn and becomes your sewer...

Viega pex sleeve press tool question?

Thanks, that is some good advice. I will still have to buy another pair cause I cannot wait for that process to unfold, but maybe they would send me another pair to replace my old ones and I can have 2 sets on hand thanks again.

Water heater pressure valve still blows after new heater and regulator

Yes to the expansion tank. Sounds like the water when heated is not able to expand. I wonder if there is a check valve or backflow device installed someplace preventing thermal exspansion? That would be the next thing I'd check for after checking water pressure which you said had already been...

Any cheaper or DIY fix of sewage line little roots that just got drilled thru, short of a Hydro-Jet?

In my opinion. Copper sulfate is not worth using. It's expensive and mainly stunts the growth of the roots temporary, and it's bad for the environment. Do you not have a main stack in the house they can install a 4" test tee on to so you have a proper sized clean out? And was there not a...

    Replacement toilet suggestions

Gerber viper a good toilets. I have been installing American Standard Cadet 3 toilets for several years now and they are awesome flushing toilets also. You can pick them up at home Depot for around $130 for the tall height. They are great toilets for the $$

Clogged kitchen sink drain------grease on snake

Just depends on the area. I would charge $120 for 1st hour and $80 an hour after that. Some people in my area charge a decent amount more than that. It can just be cabled out with a cable machine. I personally wouldn't hire anyone who is going to use a snake on the end of a drill for a...

Viega pex sleeve press tool question?

I have an update. I called a few of the local plumbing supply houses in my area and found one that sells viega tools. The gentleman that I spoke with there informed me that there is no way to adjust the tool. And he has had a couple of other customers bring in their Viega pureflow press tools...

Viega pex sleeve press tool question?

I've tried, over the last week, but nobody ever answers or has called me back after leaving a message. I'm not sure if their customer service is that bad, or if they are just shut down over the holidays? I've never tried contacting them before this last week so I don't know... Hopefully they...

Viega pex sleeve press tool question?

Hello, I use viega pureflow press tools and PEX sleevess for my pex piping. My 3/4" pureflow press tool has been moderately used and it is becoming easier to clamp than it was in the past. It has gotten to the point where it takes more effort to clamp my 1/2" press tool closed than it does my...

    Help with plumbing...

What Zane said is correct. But I'm guessing your not going to take on the project replumbing your whole house at this point. Studor vents will work in certain situations, but should not be installed in your crawl space below all the fixtures it is serving. None the less without seeing...
