More frozen pipes - Oklahoma winter storm

Well the outside ambient temperature has been well above freezing for over two days now and the flow on the bathroom and kitchen sinks is still slow. I'm wondering if the pipes might have debris or rust particles blocking the flow. I'm tempted to blow compressed air into the fawcets to see if...

More frozen pipes - Oklahoma winter storm

For the uninitiated, this is a picture of the current flow rate in the bathroom sink. It’s now more than a trickle. Thanks, and For those who celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Merry Christmas P.S. The outside ambient temperature is 22 degrees F

More frozen pipes - Oklahoma winter storm

Hi all, a few days ago when we had outdoors temperatures in the single digets I'm experiecing very tiny water flow throughout the house. I go down into the crawlspace and use my infrared lazer thermometer to measure pipe temperatures and I find a few that measured less than 32 degrees F. so I...

What size dies for a Toledo Power Drive

Hello, I have a model 58 Toledo Power Drive but I'm not sure what size dies it will take. The die clamp is ~2.48" and I have 3 dies that fit. A 1-1/4", 3/4", and 1/2", but they are not marked as to 11R or 12R or 00R so if I want to order additional dies on line, I don't know which size to order...

Trying to repair a Toledo Port-A-Pony 68 pipe threader

Hi phishfood, I like your attitude!!! I still don't have that armature out of the motor. I didn't want to force it. I think I'll post some pix to see if anyone can come up with an idea. BTW the other end bell dos'nt open.

Trying to repair a Toledo Port-A-Pony 68 pipe threader

Well I wen't to NAPA auto parts and got a real bearing puller and that did the job. Now trying to get the armature out. Think there might be a bad bearing on the other end. Also dealing with a bad brush holder. I'll keep you informed as more is revealed. :)

Trying to repair a Toledo Port-A-Pony 68 pipe threader

I found a nice design for a home made bearing puller. I think I'll give it a try.

    Replacement spigot different than original

Apparently, the one I got at the yard sale is called an "air gap faucet". Faucet Type: Air-Gap: This faucet conforms to US plumbing codes and is designed for dispensing water from a Reverse Osmosis system or a Water Filtration system that requires a drain connection with an Air-Gap I found my...

    Replacement spigot different than original

FWIW: There is no brand name on the unit, but it does say "Made in China" all over it. I got it on eBay from a seller who promoted himself as a water purification expert.

Trying to repair a Toledo Port-A-Pony 68 pipe threader

When I close the switch to the motor, it starts to hum and the lights dim. It is plugged into a receptacle box, and onetime the "klixon" overload tripped.

Trying to repair a Toledo Port-A-Pony 68 pipe threader

I know, it's too old. Why do you want to fix that old dog? Well, just because. The motor is stalled. It tries to run, but the gear box is hung up. I'm trying to remove the end bell with the gears, but I can't get the gear off of the motor shaft. It has a key, but I don't see a set screw or...

    Replacement spigot different than original

I have an under sink Reverse osmosis system that has been running fine for over 5 years. The outlet spigot finally would not stop dripping so I decided to replace it. I found a brand new replacement at a yard sale, but it has 2 brass fittings coming down from the valve. I don't know if it is...
