Pvc drain 4 inch inserts to cast iron and he put lead but it leaks slightly when flushing toilet. Is there a putty or silicone i can put to prevent further leaking. Plumber wont answer my calls to fix it.

Yes, It's very frustrating when you invest money for repairs but didn't get any value out of it. let me tell you my experience with plumbing issues that was very good till now with an affordable price. Anytimehvac service in Atlanta provides me best service.
their branches are available in different cities, hope this will help you.

Thanks

you may be able to recaulk it....you can use a chisel...and a hammer...you put the chisel on the outside edge of the lead joint then tap al lthe way around then put the chisel on the inside edge an do the same thing if the lead sinks in easily stop if its a loosely packed joint that's what happens you don't want to make it worse a chisel is not what you normally use but if you don't have the proper tools use what you have use a 1/2 inch or 3/4 chisel you may have to use some sort of epoxy on the part that sinks in if it doesn't just doesn't sink in easily go around each edge a couple of times and see what happens
