Small plastic pieces collecting in sink aerator

So I'm having a problem I've been finding small plastic particles in the aerator in some of the taps in my house. At first we thought it may have been the water tank as it was getting up there in age. We replaced the tank and even after a month the plastic is still.accumulating. We have pex as our plumbing piping through the house. Anyone know where this plastic is coming from???? Thanks
 
Have you tried running the hot water on all the faucets for about 5 minutes and see if it will
flush out the hot lines. You probably had a broken down dip tube and pieces are still laying
in your pipes. Take the aerators off.
 
Could be micro beads stemming from plastic pollution from midway. :D
