I believe that is a generic that comes with the faucets they sell at the big boxes. You should be able to find a plastic replacement that will have the same connection.
 
That should work, you could always just swipe the nut. I noticed you have a washer in the tailpiece and another on the lever. Did you have it installed that way.
 
Yes the washer was part of the nut and is what broke when I was removing the ball assembly to clean the stopper in the sink. The hole on the pipe is small and the ball doesn't go very far in, so I need a big similar nut.

I don't think the one on Amazon comes with any washers, should I try and reuse the one I have?
 
I have probably installed a thousand pop-ups and none have a washer on the nut. That I believe is what caused your issue. Tapered washer into the hole then ball in then nut against the ball.
 
Ok I just ordered the part off Amazon and will install it in the order you described. Will update with results thank you!
 
New part worked great, I installed it in the order CT-18 said to and worked awesome! Thanks again!

I have seen with tapered seals on both sides but those are usually on all brass assemblies.
Plastic pop-ups, usually only one on the inside.
 
I hate using those plastic pop-ups. 9 out of 10 times they want to leak from day one. I always
talk to the customer about putting a chrome one on. Then no problems for me. The box stores
come with them, and the good supply house faucets don't.
