Hi all,

I am attempting to adjust the setting on my kohler shower valve. Even at its lowest setting its too hot for my wife. Is there any way to make it colder. I will try and attach some photos. Not model of the valve. The valve sets the temperature for the seperate regular shower head, hand faucet, and body sprays. Any help is appreciated.

Exactly.

The WH thermostat(s) should be set no higher then 120 degrees unless a TMV is employed. Is there a POU (point-of-use) WH in the system?

Either HOT or setting A

Just keep turning it down until it is where you want it temperature wise.

That's a thermostatic valve, if it is working correctly, adjusting the water heater up or down a little bit shouldn't make much difference. The valve is supposed to mix water to the set temperature, regardless of the incoming water temperature.

What we are talking about is the Heat Control Valve, right?

There is no TMV on the install (unless it is not shown).

How to adjust the heat settings will be in the Owners Manual.

You are referring to the actual shower mixing valve, correct?

If the WH Temp Control Valve is set and working correctly, it is possible the actual shower mixing valve is not that well calibrated, correct? So it could be one or the other?

Read This First- http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-adjust-water-heater-temperature.html

You have a HONEYWLL control valve, so look for info for that manufacturer.

The dial is not calibrated by temp degrees most likely as a result of heated water not reaching fixtures as hot as it was leaving the WH. It is up to you or plumber to arrive @ the correct delivery temp.
