Hi and Thank You in advance.

This is glacier bay brand 2-handle shower facet that has leakage on the hot side.
How do I remove this type cartridge ?
Any idea how/where to find exact match for same brand or generic?

Post some more pics.

Showing that cartridge from straight on, to see what is inside that outer sleeve.
With light shining inside.

Then show pics of the whole valve set-up, with both hot and cold, and a diverter if it has one.

And a pic of the trim on the side that is not leaking.

Meanwhile, it looks like that outer sleeve has two flat spots to accept an open end or Crescent type wrench, to be able to unscrew it, or it might just wiggle off if not threaded.

That would expose the cartridge, to be unscrewed, assuming that sleeve and the cartridge are not all one unit fused together.

Thanks for the reply. Attaching a couple more pics that they sent me (this is not for me, i will be fixing this for someone this week, just wanted to be prepared before i go there).
I have changed many newer moen and delta faucets. I am sure this is as easy, once i actually see it .. but normally I am used to seeing a bonnet that hold the cartridge in place.
you mentioned that this may be a "wiggle off " type and I saw some videos on how to remove those types of cartridges. But how do the "wiggle off" types stay in place without the water pressure pushing them right out ?

Thanks.

The chrome piece should come off out of the wall. It is probably screwed on with fine threads. Once you get the
chrome off then you should be able to get to the bonnet and then unscrew it off. Not sure which box store sells
glacier bay parts.

With the new pics, it looks like the sleeve with the flat wrenching spots is holding the cartridge in place.

Unscrew the sleeve, and the nylon cartridge will likely just pull straight out with your fingers, or some gentle persuasion with pliers.

Glacier Bay is a Home Depot house brand I think, so they should carry the parts for their own faucets.

Be sure to clean any crud out of the inside of the valve body, and give the new cartridge o rings a light coating of plumbers’ silicone grease.

PS the valve cartridge might be under warranty, maybe they can get a free cartridge, call HD to verify.
