It’s very smooth. My step daughter tried one and liked it. [emoji33] which means they may go missing sooner than expected. I got a case of 4 flavors at Costco . IHOP IPA, I’m So Honey, and a mango wheat

I’m currently doing my civic duty waiting in the county court house

I tried the extreme financial hardship excuse but they sent me a new show date. Wish I would of known that little tidbite.
Almost wore my “Don’t Tread On Me” tee shirt. Thought maybe they would send me home with a new show date. I’ll start picking my nose when they start interviews for selection

Lunch time Cerveza and fish tacos

Our system is so messed up. We have lots of retired people who would love to volunteer to sit on Juries, but they always seem to bother our hard working people and people who are self employed, who cannot break away for this stupid civic duty. My daughter just had her baby a week earlier and was ordered to jury duty. Well, she brought the baby in, and within minutes, the baby started fussing and she was excused out the door in about 5 minutes. Dave, can you borrow a kid for an hour? Surely you can rent one from a rental yard, maybe?

What's funny is I've been a registered voter in this county since 1984, and before 7 years in Colorado county, and I've never been summoned for jury duty. Then I know some folks that get a summons about once a year, or so it seems.

Damn it. I could of answered jury selection question a little differently but I stay true to what I thought was truthful and now I’m officially a juror. Tuesday morning and I’m back.

Should have told them you frequently talk to a retired cop (me) and I have jaded your views and if the idiot was arrested, you will always side with the cops.

It’s kind of funny watching the defense attorney. NiceYoung lady but she fidgets a lot. crosses her arms or grabs her chin. It’s just very distracting.
DA is nice looking Hispanic man with a nice suit that’s maybe a size or 2 to small for him. Looks very uncomfortable

Carjacking/Burglary ATTEMPT. tweeker was rattling car doors. A women was pulling into a row of parked cars at her apartment. Guy ended up next to her car and started yelling at her to get out of the car.
She locked her door. someone else yelled at him. Said he was gonna call 911 so he ran off. An electrician on a ladder nearby saw this guy running around the parking lot trying to hide under cars.
Before the cops showed up, the electrician pulled out a tazer from his work truck. Cops showed up, and the guy started running. Electrician chased him down and told him to stop or he was gonna zap his a$$.
He stopped and the cops caught up. We found tweeker guilty of attempted car jacking, because the tweeker was using fear as his weapon, in an attempt to remove the victim from her car. We also rule not guilty to burglary because we did not have enough circumstantial evidence to prove that he was going to rob her. he never touched the car or made demands to take her purse of belongings, but his demands to her to get out of the car several times was enough for us to agree that he was attempting to remove victim from car which by law would have been carjacking. Tweekers!!!!!!!
Had one hold out juror so we had to come back next day to submit verdict

Was talking to my neighbor and he had recently did 2 weeks on a jury for a murder. Boyfriend of a mother of 2 yr old charged.
He was acquitted but the mother was convicted later in another trail.
baby was injured in an accident, but mother did want to take to hospital fearful of Child protection service.
Baby died of a broken arm and brain injury that could of been treated. A$$ holes.

Glad I just got a stupid tweeker.

Car jackers can be pretty stupid. I always lock my car doors before I even shut them when I'm getting in and I don't leave my doors open for long.
I also don't ride with my windows down.
Although, apparently one day my father was driving with his window down and was stopped at a red light. Some guy put a knife through the window and said give me your wallet & your keys! My father said "Hold on, let me get my wallet", drew his M-1911 and pointed it directly at the guy's face. The guy dropped his knife and ran like hell.
Another guy wasn't so lucky when he walked up to one of my father's co-workers back in the 80s though. He had his hands in his pocket and pointed in to the co-worker's face saying he had a gun hidden in his pocket & was going to shoot unless the guy got out and gave him the keys. The guy pulled his service weapon and shot him dead. Turned out he didn't have a gun, it was just his fingers-- but there were witnesses that confirmed that the guy said he had a gun.
Not much going on around here. Hot as hell. Weeds are growing up like crazy. My old dog is doing better. She's walking around, eating the cat food, wagging her tail when she slips in to the living room, etc.

I went to take a shower this morning. My bro had used it last so I had to clean the drain out first. Got it cleaned and then went to turn the hot water knob to start heating the water. Nothing. I turned it all the way. Nothing. Turned it back-- knob feels somewhat loose. No hot water for the shower until I can get it fixed. Bleh.
I'm about to take my mother for one of her regular checkups at the doctor.

Aww. Those are adorable puppies, Frodo!
New babies reminds me that I need to get my younger female cats to the vet asap for spaying. I'm thinking tomorrow morning-- meant to do it today, but slept too late.

I have to figure out how to fix the loose hot water knob. One of these days we'll get the whole shower replaced and go to a single lever. I have plans to add an access panel for the plumbing for any future repairs.

I also need a knew kitchen sink faucet. The old one we got in 2001 & has been having problems. The spout won't stay where we turn it-- it keeps rotating back to center, the sprayer is getting weaker & water still comes out the spout when we use the sprayer. It is now leaking from the lever when we turn it on. It's got one of those single lever things that is the right of the faucet. Side sprayer is to the right of that, and over on the left side is an un-used soap thingy. So, 4 widespread holes. I'm thinking of going with Moen this time if I can find one in a good price range.

Moen used to be a good faucet but I don’t like kitchen faucets. They are kind of cheesy. I had a nice high end euro style with the hose in spout.
Had to tighten the hold down 3 times in one year.
I replaced it with a hansgrohe I got from Costco for $135 last Xmas. Love it
