New to this forum and I am only a weekend plumber so to speak. Built my home in 1983 using well water for my household water supply. Several years later we converted to a municipal water source due to the well was not a constant source during dry seasons. That being said, we ran pvc for 1300 feet with several check valves in line and elevation rise of approx. 100 feet. Not to mention the engineering firm specked the wrong size taps (3/4 iron pipe size as opposed to 3/4 copper tube size). All that causes for a cold shower when the commode is flushed. I have little volume but some pressure. Is there some type of pump assist or system I can add to cure my problem. I cannot even run a 2 gpm pressure washer because the source won't supply enough water.

Any help is much appreciated!

Might be a bad prv valve?again “has it always been like this? Might need a booster pump with holding tank

Yes there is equipment for this. Pressure Booster. Readily available.

Yes it has always been like this since we have put the line line in. The reason for three check valves was due yo elevation and cutting the head pressure. Where and what do I look for in this system?

Google it. Grundfros makes them.
Grainger is a big supplier for all kinds of mechanical stuff.\
Even Home Depot has booster pump systems.

1300 ft with 100 ft elevation can seriously effect volume.

Maybe even an elevated tank can improve volume.

It seems that they use them a lot in the UK do to low water pressure delivery systems. They fill tanks and then use the elevated gravity to increase pressure.
