I just purchased the Delta T17494-I Linden tub/shower faucet. After installing the handle / lever trim i noticed i must swivel the volume control lever more than half way before the water STARTS to come out. Is this normal? What exactly is the use of the first 50% of the swivel action? Is it possible to change this so that it operates more sensibly?

Thx

Thanks Frodo. For the record i did follow the instructions but the handle always swivels clockwise past the halfway point. So the resting spot is 5 or 6 o'clock and the water turns on only at 3 o'clock. The instructions say nothing about this that can help me adjust this oddity.

Furtheremore the labeling on the trim shows OFF to be at 5 o'clock NOT 3 o'clock. You can see promo photos of the faucet here -- take not of the larger lever handle.
