Hello,
I have a water hammer problem when I open/close the water faucets too quickly. I didn't mind at first but it's starting to be annoying. On top of this, recently my pipes have been starting to do foghorn sounds for around 5-10 secs from time to time. It often does this once the washer has stopped and we flush a toilet. Are these problems easy to diagnose and fix or do I really need a plumber.
Thanks !

Could this be the cause for the water hammer and the foghorn ? Or just one of the two ?
Thanks a lot for the help !

If it is happening to multiple fixtures throughout the house, on both hot and cold faucets, you may also be having an issue with your pressure regulator (if there is on on the water service).

Any general idea where it's located and what it looks like ?
Should I buy a pressure gauge to have a look at the overall water pressure ?
Thanks again !

Yes check the pressure and it's usually located right under you're front yard hose bib.. Those are notorious for failing

Could be this.
