Howdy folks i replaced the water valve on the supply line and in the process the pipe to the valve became a bit loose so the pipe has a an inch or two of movement now if you pull on it. I dont believe it is leaking but is this a potential problem? I could cut a hole in the drywall where the toilet tank is against the wall to take a look if necessary. Thanks

If it's not leaking leave it be. I run into this now and then. Just poor workmanship on original install. some times they use a thin copper strap that gets nailed across to studs. the strap has holes that the pipe fits through. then soldered. That thin solder often fails allowing the pipe to come free. Other times there just wasn't anything at all holding the pipe in place.
