My kitchen sink had a grease clog so i snaked it a few times and water is flowing again is there any thing that can dissolve the grease? Most people say the products don't work and only waste your money. Should i just call a plumber and have the pipes cleaned? I'm not sure how they would get rid of the mess.

I have alternative septic system so i have to watch what goes down the drain.

A little sulfuric acid will help if you are looking for the DIY approach. NOT DRAIN-O. For best results, have a professional drain cleaner come in with a hydro-jetter to clean the lines.

Will that harm the septic? The grease about 15 feet from the sink.

Thanks for the help.
