Can anyone recommend a professional quality, manually operated drain auger / snake to clean a 6 inch drain? The house is draining fine, but the mother in law apartment is not. I have easy access to the six inch PVC pipe, and the vent, but want a professional quality manual drain snake to clean out the pipe. I've heard the Home Depot item is cheap and has no strength.

Any recommendations please?

Thanks

If you have a pressure washer, Cloghog makes a 50 ft water jet drain cleaner that I have used several times with good success. It will pay for itself in one drain cleaning.

We use a Rigid K-1500 with a 1-1/4" cable for 6"
But 6" and bigger you need a truck mounted jetter.
