I'm in the process of remodeling our bathroom and have removed the old galvanized pipe from the shower and have replaced it with copper. The copper is connected to the galvanized pipe under the house.
My Question:
There was a grounding wire connected to the galvanized pipe and I'm wondering what I should do with it.
Because I had to use a dialectic union to connect the galvanized pipe to the copper I'm not sure what pipe section to ground.
Should I...
1) Connect it to the copper pipe (does that defeat the purpose of the dialectic union?)
2) Connect it to the galvanized pipe under the house. (Will I get shock in the shower?)
Thanks,
Daniel
