When our downstairs toilet is flushed the bowl fills up completely with water then slowly drains. We've tried a 25 foot snake and drano and plunging
Now the sinks in the kitchen are draining slowly and the upstairs toilet is making glug glug noises. The showers, bathroom sinks, washing machine, and dishwasher are draining fine. We really can't afford a plumber. Please help.

You can't afford a plumber? I understand 100%. I can't afford me either.
You don't need a plumber, just a drain cleaner.
Look for a sewer clean out round the outside of the house. 3" or 4" plug or cap. 2" is to small.
main sewer line needs to be cleaned by someone who knows how.

Alternate solution : dig a deep hole in the back yard. That's how they used to do it. Some places still do.
