Hi folks --

We had a plumber fix a leaky faucet in our bathroom sink a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't around when the repair happened, so I don't know exactly what he did. Afterwards the leak was fixed, but the water tasted like caulk or glue.

The problem was certainly related to the repair, since the taste only appeared when we used the cold knob, not the hot. Tonight the taste seems to be gone.

Should we be worried about drinking from this faucet?

Seriously?? You're asking a question on an internet forum if we think your water is safe to drink. Call the guy who fixed it and ask him.

We have gone through faucet repairs over the years and the taste of the water usually changes for some time but then goes back to its original taste. What we do after every repair is to open the tap and let the water run for some time (15-20 minutes). I think you should also ask the plumber so you wouldn't feel so worried.
