Hello Forum

A recent water test revealed my ph level is below the minimum threshold of 7, at 6.1.

I am looking to mitigate the problem by purchasing a ph neutralizer, but everything I've read so far suggests I would also need to invest into a water softener.

Please advise.
1. What brand? Is there a low/no maint option?
2. Where to buy?
3. I plan to do it myself. Any special tools needed?

Did you have a complete water analysis done?

You need to weigh all of the results to treat the water properly.

OK

I need:
1. PH neutralizer filter or some sort to raise the PH to 7.
2. Likely a water softener as a result of the neutralizer.

What brand? Where to buy?

What other tests were done? You should also test for hardness and iron. Sulfur doesn't need to be tested for, just use your nose.

Generally if you have a low PH here, it's because they are testing surface water which always has a low PH and no hardness. If that's the case, I would save my money and drill a deeper well.
