I am attempting to replace my old bathtub with a new one. However, when I removed the old tub I found out the drain is not centered in the concrete slab but off the right. They positioned the waste tee to connect to the tub and off set the over flow. The waste tee is soldered to the drain pipe 1 1/2 inch brass waste tee. The entire drain is buried under a concrete slap about 10 inches. I believe I can put a waste tee in if I can remove the old. Any suggestions for removing the old or should I just call a plumber at this point?

Setting a tub drain on a slab is not a DIY job. Not all plumbers can do this with bull's-eye results. if you don't have access to the p-trap then it is even harder.
If done right, when the tub is set in place the over flow and the drain need to be square and right on the mark. and the tub needs to be level with no wobble.
It's an art. If you hire someone, make sure he knows how.
