What shower pan are you referring too? We basically did exactly what was done here: http://www.johnbridge.com/how-to/shower-pan-liner-installation/

I thought that was the shower pan...

It's a custom size, no pre-made shower pan existed for it.

Sorry but I must have misunderstood your first post when you said. (When I built the shower, we put tar-paper down to seperate the cement from the floor) You never said anything about installing a pan over that so I assumed the tar paper was the pan. That was the way it was done years ago. (that was never very good)
