Yellow flex pipe in firepit

Hi, can anyone tell me if this is right? Doesn’t seem right to me. There is a yellow brasscraft pipe in my firepit, right next to the flame pipe. My contractor is still building it and says it’s fine, but I’m worried. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

take a close look at the log lighter. I see a coupling
I do not see any air adjustment, with out adjustment, you will have yellow flame not blue flame
