So I'm currently ideating a concept for creating a makeshift recirculation "port" for my Hot Water Heater. The HWH model I've got doesn't feature a factory recirculation port (Navien 240S).

Please take a look at the current setup image (let me know your thoughts). Then take a look at the proposal and give me your take.

The reason I'm attempting this is because I believe the current setup is inefficient. Specifically because circulated (heated) water is mixing with city water before making its way back to the HWH.

Thanks, but I'm hardly that. Anytime I find myself in some kind of situation (such as you are in) I first go to the website of the manufacturer and find the documents. In your case, I simply searched for "Navien 240S", and that link popped up in a flash. Took me more time to type this and find the link in the first place.
