Hi Guys

I want to install a whole house filter system after the water meter but before water enters my house. I want all the water entering my home to be filtered before it is disbursed throughout. I had a plumber tell me that the pressure to the water heater won't be sufficient enough this way. The inlet and outlet of the water filter is 1". Will it provide sufficient pressure to my water heater?

There are filters systems that are design for whole house use.
I do not have any recommendations because we have good water here snd no one filters the whole house that I’ve worked for.

Just the drinking water and I have a few customers that we filter their shower.

But do those filters reduce the water pressure so much that the hot water heater wont work?

No they don’t unless you fail to replace them and their flow has diminished.

Shoot for a flow rate of 20+ gallons a minute. Their are filters available.

Do not expect a $25.00 whole house filter to do it.....
