Where to put drain saddle valve

Hi All

I have a question about a reverse osmosis filter I'd like to install. The instructions state that the drain saddle valve should be installed before the p-trap, but not near a garbage disposal and preferably on a horizontal line. Well, I have a single drain basin sink and no horizontal runs before the p-trap and the only spot I can install the saddle valve is near the garbage disposal. See image. Where is the best spot I can install the saddle valve?

Any help would be much appreciated.
