What kind of couplings are these?

Had a plumber repair the main water line to our house. I wasn't home so he sent some pictures of the repair. I have done some DIY repairs on PVC in the past but I am not familiar with the couplings they used. I did a Google search and found something from Smith-Blair that looks similar but the specs say it's not for potable water. Can anyone identify these couplings?

I see a sticker on the top one, clean off the dirt and post clear pics of that sticker.
 
These are just compression repair couplings. They use a rubber ring to seal the joint. They should be fine for this situation since the pipes can't move. I would not recommend these for a situation where the pipes have room to be forced apart as they are prone to being forced apart by higher water pressures.
 
Ask the plumber what they are.

Did he get a permit and inspection?

That would be required in most areas.
