I missed the link. LOL.

Back when they changed the look of some of the paper currency there was an incident at a Piccadily Cafe. The cashier accused a customer of having counterfeit money because it was the new bills. She pulled a gun on him & called the police to arrest him. Cops got there, confirmed it was a real bill, & issued a citation to the cashier for a gun violation. I forget the exact term they used for the charge.

I am still tired from yesterday. Brother is hacking up greenish mucus & feeling dizzy. Mom is fine and I cooked for her. I'm about to take another nap. Hope I'm not coming down with what my brother had.

I unboxed some stuff to take to Mom's room for her, fed the kitties, and unloaded the 5 cases of water from the truck. Well, 5-1/2. My a-hole brother went out in the night and took a bunch of bottles out of one of the cases but didn't bother to bring the case in bc he's a jerk. He drank an entire case by himself plus a bunch from another case-- 20 bottles at least-- and didn't leave any bottled water in the house for anyone else. He's not even supposed to be drinking it bc he has filtered water & he doesn't help with purchasing the water or carrying it. I was out there without pants on (which is normal around here bc we don't have visible neighbors). I was on case #3 when our friend rolled up. Didn't say anything about my lack of pants. Said he was there to pick up my brother. I said I thought he was too sick to go and he said my brother had messaged him and asked him to come get him. He was trying to call my brother but my brother wasn't answering. So I went in and told him our friend was there for him. He grunted at me and left. I reminded him to grab some of his tools from the CRV before going. Got him a magnetic wristband thingy to hold tools and screws.

I cooked some porkchops and my cat, Itsy, kept reminding me that she loves food. I fed some bites to the dog and then let Itsy eat the crumbs.

I'm about to take a nap bc I had trouble sleeping last night.

I never did get that nap. LOL. Cooked for Mom. Friend had to bring my brother from home after a couple of hours bc he was coughing nonstop. Boss said he needed to go home and get some rest to get better and not to worry about work until he's well enough to come back.

Finally got a dimmer switch and installed it in the dining room. She gave me 3 years of grief which was fixed in 5 minutes.
Also went to Home Depot and purchased rye grass seed for our upcoming rains. There were only 4 bags left, and all had little holes in the bags. The manager walked by and told me to grab the biggest bag, and he would only charge me $15 for it. I found a huge 50 pound bag of grass seed, with a pen size hole at the top of the bag, and got it for $15. Regular price was $67.

The family member who clogs my AS Cadet3 toilet every month decided to clog my bathroom sink drain. Vomited, due to whatever nasty bug circulating, into the sink and decided to eliminate the evidence by running water. By the time I got to it, there was a puddle not draining. I spent the next 30 min with my set of tweezers, pulling out the half-digested food bits, trying not to throw up myself. Finally pulled out most of it, but knocked the smaller bits further down, and ran the water for over a minute to make sure it was draining properly. Probably should've wiped the sink first because some of that sh*t was oily but oh well.

For future reference, looked up proper procedure for vomiting, if plumbing fixture cannot be avoided. Toilet is preferred, with flushing between retches. If it must go into sink, then plug the drain right away and don't run water. Best to have someone else clean out the sink to avoid more vomiting by victim due to disgust. Oh the joys of parenthood...

'Tis the season! How do I know? Turning on the TV and the "PajamaGram" and "Flex Seal" ads are in full swing! And let's not forget Omaha Steaks! As my wife is fond of saying, "Don't watch the commercials 'cause they'll rot your brain!

I had a guy come in and scream at a young man that works here. He had an asphalt pump that he needed replaced. Got goo all over my counter. My thought is he is pissy because his broke in the middle of a job and he neglected to keep a spare on hand. Pretty sure nowhere on any signs does it say asphalt pumps. Clearly says Plumbing and HVAC.

Can you imagine this? A get together with Plumbing Forum members to put face to screen names? Can you imagine the shock that you and I would have at actually seeing what each of of us look like IRL? Some of you plumbing gods and goddesses revealed in the flesh? Let's eat Maine Lobsters before they are cancelled forever! Havasu, make it happen!

Havasu, isn't it nice when you finally get something done you've been putting off? I wish I didn't procrastinate so much. LOL. I have to thank you for giving me the motivation I needed to get my bathroom done enough that I could install the toilet. Feels so much nicer. And no more fighting over having to use the bathroom! I haven't had to wait on anyone to get out of the bathroom since.

Sheplmbr, ah, the angry customers that are completely unreasonable. I remember dealing with those during my college internship. Although a customer screaming reminded me of a story from a friend who works at Walmart. Big dude. Used to be a bouncer at nightclubs. When he first got hired at Walmart he was walking up to the front of the store and heard some jerk yelling racial slurs at two employees at the service desk. One was a white woman (manager) and the other was a black woman (associate). His first thought was "Oh HELL No!" and he headed over just as the guy was reaching over the counter trying to attack the black associate. He rushed over, grabbed the guy by the back of the head, slammed his head into the counter and bounced it, then dragged him out the doors and threw him on the ground in the parking lot. Everyone stared in shock. Later the head of asset protection called him into the office, watched the footage, laughed his behind off, deleted the footage & said "That never happened and can't happen again. You're not a bouncer anymore". That manager lets him pick his work schedule and take as many days off as he wants whenever he wants.

Blueskyhigh, I look like Jabba the Hut. LOL.

Today I took my brother to our favorite chinese buffet. He had some soup and green tea. I had two bowls of soup as well as some chicken with broccoli, ginger chickensticks, and long beans. Then we went to Samsclub. Bro is still feeling really sick so he waited in the truck while I grabbed stuff and got out. So much faster shopping by myself. They were out of some stuff, but I got the stuff I needed most.

In celebration of her landing her first real job, we took our daughter out to a local Korean BBQ place where they cook the food in a gas fueled flame pit embedded in each customer's wooden table. She is in the last semester of her cyber security engineering degree at a local uni. Food was great, none of us burned ourselves on the grille and we tipped appropriately.

She's making twenty-five (25) times the starting salary then I did with my first job but I got free haircuts and meals and a cot and I got to play with an M1 and a Colt 1911 so there was that.

Man, I'd like to pick your daughter's brain. I know relatively nothing about cyber security, but know knowledge is a necessity.
My granddaughter loves those Korean BBQ's, but the one she likes is barely edible. Everything in there tasted like it is made with fish sauce, and they are charging us to cook their food. Something is definately wrong with that. I think we should get a discount for doing so. It also seems the one who is busy cooking barely has a chance to eat. Another issue is the chance of contamination when you are sloshing uncooked chicken juice onto the beef that is ready to serve. Seems we are the only white people in that place, and it costs $30 a person.

We still have my dad's old SA M-1911. He got paid a pittance in the Army.

I'm not a fan of Korean BBQ. I have a friend who is allergic-- breaks out in hives-- if he eats it. So of course we tease him about how we plan to take him to Korean bbq if he visits. I do like Chinese food. I used to like the fish sauce in Thai food but developed allergies to some of the ingredients to Thai food. The ginger chicken sticks at Panda (Chinese buffet) are my favorite. Having customers cook their own food does sound like a recipe for disaster.

I talked to Samsclub customer service to complain about my packages being left in out in the rain & asked them to put a note on my file to put stuff on the porch & to not run from the cow as it would only encourage her to chase. CS agent had a good laugh at that one. Did I mention I was driving out and found a samsclub package tossed haphazardly just inside my front gate over 200ft from my house and the box was completely soaked? I thought it was trash and went to pick it up and toss it in the burn pile and discovered it was unopened. Fortunately, the item inside was wrapped in plastic and dry, but I would have missed it if I hadn't been driving out then. The other package was left in the way of where I needed to park (delivered while I wasn't home) also out in the rain. That one was ok too but if I hadn't dragged it in before the rain it would have been ruined. The least they could have done was put it on the sidewalk- although I prefer the porch.

My stupid rotator cuff has my arm hurting all the way down to the wrist & is not cooperating on lifting anything. I've been doing the exercises my doctor recommended and using arthritis cream but it is taking its sweet time to get better. I couldn't sleep well last night bc of it (and bc my brother turned the heat back on & it got too hot).

I need to get up and change the hvac filters.

Went to Walmart for groceries and RX, picked up mail, & changed HVAC filter.
Managed to get a paper cut while scanning my groceries and it bled a little.

Z, thanks for the filter reminder. I change mine out every six months and have a MERV13 5-inch thick one that I put in the holder in place of the high-dollar electrostatic filter that went "Tango Uniform" years ago.

I recommended seeing a different shoulder doctor.

AS a rule of thumb, one has six months to successfully repair a tear, according to my specialist.
I waited much longer than that to my chagrin. As a result I had to have a surgical procedure called an acromioplasty that treats shoulder impingement and rotator cuff disease and involves removing a small piece of bone and soft tissue from the acromion to allow the 5mm tear to be sewn together.
