I am planning on building an insulated well house over my well so can I use a well seal instead of the pitless adapter? I am in Idaho which does get down to the low teens at night.
I did just the opposite. I changed mine from a well seal to a pitless. Counting on electric heat means it is going to freeze when the power goes off. Never have to worry about that if the pitless is deep enough. Pitless at the well with the pressure tank/pressure switch in the house and nothing will freeze.
With a PK1A control kit the pressure tank, switch, and controls will fit in a 24"X24"X14" space. Can be installed above the water heater so it will never get cold.
