Hello,
Need advice " Saddle Tee" connecting to main drain line (plumbing stack). Does the plumbing code allows Saddle Tee?
Background about my requirement: I need to connect my water softener drain that is installed in finished basement. I don't have option for drain where I installed water softener.
Nearest drain pipes that I have access is 15 feet away. Following are drain line that I see. For both, I need to open Dry wall to access the drain.
1. I see horizontal drain pipe that runs in the ceiling
2. I also have access to main plumbing stack line.
Please let me know what are my options to connect to drain, am I allowed to use Saddle tee on my main plumbing stack line ? Is there any other options for drain connection. As part of drain connection, I need to use P trap and maintain air gap.
