We had to replace our hot water heater today due to a leak. Now I have no hot water pressure to the kitchen faucet. The cold pressure is fine, as are the rest of the faucets in the house. What could be causing this?

Trash in the hot side of the stop vale, supply riser, body of the faucet, faucet cartridge or a combination of all the above.

Start at the hot side stop valve for the kitchen faucet. Remove supply line and run water into a bucket.

If you get water out of the valve that means the faucet or supply riser is stopped up.

Direct the hot water supply tube into the bucket and turn on the cold side.......this will backwash the cartridge and possibly blow the trash into the bucket.

Try all that before you tear the faucet apart..

If you remove the hot supply line from the faucet, run it into a bucket, and the output stream is weak, try fully opening and closing the valve several times.
This might release the crud stuck in there.
