I need to replace the gas valve on my Rheem water heater. It is listed as obsolete and so far no one can give me a replacement number. It is a Robertshaw 66-244-312 R110RATSP AP12491D. Any help appreciated

Typically by the time the gas valve is obsolete, the tank is on it’s last legs. The gas valves typically have a longer life than the tank.

Yes, it is 10 years old. I have maintained it well, replacing anode rods and flushing regularly and thought I could get a few more years. But it may be time for a new one. Rheem told me there was no replacement.
