I have built a new cottage and I am looking to connect it to the old septic tank.

In order to do this it has to make a 90° turn from where it exits the house. I understand two 45° turns are better. I would rather not excavate the tank to relocate it to make a straight run.

  1. is this common
  2. is there anything I should consider if doing this.
  3. what is the issue of exceeding a maximum slope i.e. greater than 1/4 over 12"
Thanks
