Hi all, thanks in advance for any help on this topic. I'm helping renovate an unfinished basement and the homeowner has taken it upon himself to do the plumbing to save money (i know). I'd like to educate myself so I can at least offer some basic level of guidance to save him a headache down the road, this will be inspected by the city. This is in Ontario Canada.

Anything jarringly wrong with this sketch? Thank you

OK.....Couple things
1] You are connecting to a 3'' clean out.
If you connect to a 3'' clean out you must leave a 3''clean out
First drawing. extend the 3'' up. use a 3 x 1 1/2'' tee then a 3'' street x 1 1/2'' tee on top of that
then a 3'' clean out tee on top of that. with a 3 x 1 1/2'' bushing
