Hi,

Thanks in advance for the help. I am selling a house, the new buyers had a home inspection. One issue on the "Request for Repairs" was under one of the vanities was a "flexible tailpiece extension" above the p-trap. The inspector called this a temporary repair and it needed to be replaced. The "flexible tailpiece extension" was used because there isn't enough room for the p-trap without it. Please let me know the proper solution to this problem.

I've attached a photo showing the issue.

Thanks

Is that a 1 and 1/2" p-trap? Try using a 1 and 1/4" p-trap which may work. You'll need a 1 and 1/2" by 1 and 1/4" slip nut washer as well.

Hi Gendow,

Thank you, that's a good suggestion. Maybe the 1-1/4 will be a little shorter. I will check it out.

If anyone has any more suggestions, I would appreciate them.

Thanks,

This is what MrDavid, Frodo, and Matt30 is referring to;
