We have a tub spout that has been leaking between the spout and the wall. After investigating, the issue seems to be with the spout fitting properly. We’ve tried two universal spouts but they both leaked out the back. We were advised to try adding a 1/2” SharkBite adapter and using a threaded spout. The pipe protruding from the wall is only about 1” long and I’m not able to find a threaded spout that will fit this length. Is this the right solution for us? Any suggestions? Thank you so much!

Sure, the easiest thing for you to do would be soldering a male adapter onto the pipe. Then use a delta spout.

That came out real good. That plate behind the spout helped. My correction.
Actually that spout I have pictured doesn’t have as much adjustment as a plain Jane Delta spout that I linked.

The shape of the decorative spout doesn’t allow Delta to thread the spout very much before the diameter gets too narrow.
